In a bid to increase diversity in television writing rooms, the Writer's Guild of America, East and several New York City agencies have joined forces to launch the Made in NY Writers Room.
TVWS Alum Bri Castellini's Web Series in Season 2
TV Writer's Studio Alum Bri Castellini's web series "Brains" is in its second season of production. Season 1 was an official selection in five film festivals, including The Online Film Festival and The Digitalmation Awards. The new season will be comprised of 10 main episodes between 5-8 minutes long, with an accompanying 10 "minisodes". "Brains" is an original web series set three years after a zombie apocalypse on a college campus. They are raising funds for season two in IndieGoGo. Congrats Bri!

Norman Steinberg Honored by WGA
TVWS Director Norman Steinberg was honored, among others, by the WGA for their 101 Funniest Screenplays event. He placed two on the list, "My Favorite Year (#87), and "Blazing Saddles (#8). Mel and the Boys
Last week, Mel Brooks and TV Writers Studio Director Norman Steinberg held a special screening of "Blazing Saddles" followed by a Q&A in Nashville, TN. Over 1,100 people attended the event held at Belmont University.
