Changing the Narrative of Mental Health in TV & Film

The weekend of November 4-5, the TV Writers Studio partnered with the LIU chapter of the New York Film and Television Student Alliance, and the Bowers Disney Company to bring together writers, show runners, and mental health experts to talk about changing the narrative of mental health in our media. Guest speakers included Alexa Junge (The United States of Tara show runner, Friends, Grace and Frankie), Matt Ember (The Connors), a representative from the JED Foundation, documentary filmmaker and mental health advocate Patrice Bradshaw, and Belange Rodriguez from Frenzy Fest.
