Map of Brooklyn

Written and Produced by our Class of 2020

ABOUT THE SERIES

Map of Brooklyn is an anthology series written and produced by our MFA students. The series is a mosaic of life in Brooklyn. Each episode centers around a specific location and captures a slice of life in this iconic borough.

The scenes from the series were directed by filmmaker Traven Rice, with Larry Banks as director of photography.

ABOUT THE WRITERS

In Fall 2018, cohort IX began pitching pilots for an anthology series to be filmed the following year during the Winter 2020 intercession on location in Brooklyn. They each penned a pilot script and we pulled selected scenes to make Map Of Brooklyn.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The LIU TV Writers Studio is a unique program. The hardest thing in the world is to find a place to practice the skills writers use in a TV writers room. This program is the only MFA in the world that operates on the real-world experience of being in a writers room every week.
