A Little Place on the Plaza

I was inspired to write A Little Place on the Plaza foremost by the research I conducted on my neighborhood of Ditmas Park, Brooklyn. It’s a neighborhood that I’ve come to love, and doing a deeper dive surrounding it’s history gave me a greater perspective as a relatively newer transplant. I also began to think about my relationship with my dad, particularly what that relationship would look like if it were just the two of us. It came down to community, and a shared sense of understanding, two things that I’m striving to create and hold on to.
