WESLEY MIDDLETON’s love of writing verges on the inappropriate, and she thinks TV is pretty awesome too. Last century, after receiving an MFA in Playwriting from the University of Texas at Austin, she began to write plays for young audiences, two of which have been produced around the US. She’s currently writing a children’s play, Unsorted, commissioned by Metro Theater Company (St. Louis, MO) and Childsplay Theatre (Tempe, AZ). She writes and reads new solo work at Write Night at Frank’s in Fort Greene, Brooklyn and recently started a memoir called Other People’s Bodies that she’s decided would be much better as a TV show. Her arts and culture articles have appeared in TechnikartUS (France),Spotlight (Germany),WNC Magazine (Asheville, NC), and Trachodon (Oregon). She grew up watching Welcome Back, Kotter on her family’s black & white RCA and is delighted to be pursuing her dream of writing for television right here in the Sweathogs’ home borough of Brooklyn.
